Colby J. Herchel is a composer, lyricist, and voice teacher based in New York City. With a 15 year background in classical and musical theater vocal training, he uses classical technique to bring forth your true voice, with an emphasis on intention and interpretation —Of what else? Music. He teaches students of voice and piano from elementary school age to adults.

If you’re a young musician trying to get a lead in the school musical, or a professional looking to crack into industry level shows in New York and across the globe, he'll build your repertoire for audition prep, callbacks, rehearsals, and showtime.

With experience music directing and directing off-broadway, regional, film, audio, and podcasts, he knows what teams are looking for in their stars. He studied music composition at the University of Connecticut, and is a Voice and Piano teacher with West Amadeus Music Studio.
